Upon completion of iDevice Manager installation, my PC suddenly restarted... could it be because I had iTunes open, while the installation was taking place?

Hi David,
if the installation routine detects an older iTunes installation than the iDevice Manager needs, tries the IDM setup to update some Apple software components. If iTunes has been started, is it impossible for the IDM setup to update used files. In this case is a restart needed.

Gotcha,
I'm running iTunes 12.3.2.35, so this must indeed, have been the case
